Melissa Page has been the director of the award winning Emerald Belles since 1997. In addition to her 20 years of directing the Belles, she has taught the One Voice & Encore Show Choirs and has sponsored the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Carroll Senior High School. She currently teaches on a part-time basis. In 2015, she & her husband Mark founded ZYN22, a boutique fitness facility, where numerous former Belles are employed at their studios around the metroplex. She currently resides in Southlake, TX along with her husband Mark, son Reed Bartosh, and step-daughters Hannah, Alex, and Adeline.
Mrs. Page is a born & bred Texan hailing from El Campo, TX. She started dancing at the age of three and she's been high-kicking ever since. She graduated from El Campo High School where she was a proud member of the cheerleading squad, making Head Cheerleader while she continued to study dance in the studio. She attended and graduated cum laude from Texas State University in 1993 where she was a member of the Texas State Strutter Dance Team, Orchesis Dance Company, and an officer in Chi Omega Sorority. She has received accolades in her profession including being a two-time finalist for the Texas Dance and Drill Team Educator's Association "Director of the Year" and once for "Lifetime Achievement".
Under the leadership of Mrs. Page, the Emerald Belles have received numerous regional and state awards over the past 20 years. The Belles were the featured halftime performers for the Dallas Mavericks in 2012 and have performed on Carnival Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Disney World, and Fiesta Texas.
The 2017-2018 team will feature 80 talented members.
Kathryn currently teaching AP Calculus and pre-AP calculus at Carroll Senior High School, is the TestWise math curriculum consultant and math instructor. She has been involved in test prep since 2000, when she accepted the position of lead math instructor in the Carroll ISD Premier SAT/PSAT Academy.
Since that time, Kathryn has served as a testing consultant throughout the state of Texas and has helped many school districts initiate programs to enable their students to increase scores on the College Boards. She has developed a phenomenal math curriculum for TestWise, which has proven to be effective for countless students.
Kathryn has 11 years of teaching experience and 8 years experience as a test prep consultant.
